Peter Meechan Music was set up in 2006, in order to publish some of the increasingly large output of the music of British composer Peter Meechan.
The catalogue contains extended works, test pieces, concerti, as well as smaller concert items and solo works.

To locate a solo, select the category of the accompaniment – e.g. Music for Brass Band if it is a euphonium solo with brass band, or select by instrument using the drop down menu on the left hand side of the page.
Each category is listed in alphabetical order, and each work has been giving a grading. See below for more details.

New CD release
Apophenia is the volume of Peter Meechan’s music for wind band. Performed by Kew Wind Orchestra (conducted by Spencer Down), it features soloists Rex Richardson (trumpets), Becky Smith (trombone) and David Thornton (euphonium).
The pieces on the CD are: Apophenia (concerto for trumpet), Epitaph (for Hillsborough), Chorlton Suite, Fields of Destruction (three songs for euphonium and band), Macbeth and Elegie.
All of the worrks recorded on the CD are available from Peter Meechan Music

Grading System
All works for wind and brass band have now been graded using the following scale:
1 = very easy 2 = easy 3 = moderately easy 4 = moderately difficult 5 = difficult 6 = very difficult
